For a long time they were used primarily to prevent unwanted rain or hail – for example, when holding festive events in cities. Now there is increasing interest in their use where precipitation is needed. For example, last year in the UAE conducted experiments to cause rain with the help of drones during extreme heat.
But in order to apply these technologies on a large scale in agriculture, more research is needed on their potential, taking economic indicators.
