Plot Sanctions against Russia and retaliatory measures of the Russian Federation

Applicants entering the paid departments of universities in 2022 are offered to provide financial support. The initiative was taken by the deputy Vasily Vlasov. This is reported by RT with reference to a copy of a letter from a parliamentarian addressed to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov.

What support is offered to first-year students?

Vlasov proposes to provide first-year students in 2022 with a discount on studying at in the amount of 50%.

“In order to support these citizens and based on the possibilities of the federal budget, I ask you to evaluate the feasibility of providing applicants who enter the paid departments of higher educational institutions in 2022 with a 50% discount on payment training in first-year programs», — stated in the text of the MP's address.

Why is it proposed to give a discount to applicants?

According to Vlasov, the aggressive economic sanctions that Western countries have applied against Russian domestic companies, banks and citizens are aimed at weakening the national economy of Russia. They can also cause financial damage to the Russians themselves.

The deputy noted that soon thousands of young citizens of the Russian Federation will have to enter universities. For them, this year is very important — it determines their further professional life, the deputy notes. Therefore, these Russians need support from the state.
