The Kremlin specified that it is planned to discuss trade, economic and investment cooperation between Russia and Italy, as well as the prospects for further expansion of business ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries. “Particular attention is supposed to be paid to the possibilities of building up cooperation in the field of energy, industry, finance and environmental technologies,” — added in the press service.

At a meeting of the Russian-Italian Committee of Entrepreneurs in early December 2021, Industry Minister Denis Manturov expressed confidence that after this meeting, cooperation between the two countries would receive an additional impetus. He noted that the trade turnover between Russia and Italy began to grow again after reaching the level of €40 billion in 2013 and then declining.
