Presidential spokesman Peskov confirmed that Putin met with Kadyrov in Moscow
Russian President Vladimir Putin received the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in the Kremlin on February 2, press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov told reporters, RBC correspondent reports.
According to Peskov, economic affairs and topics related to the work of law enforcement agencies were discussed at the meeting.
The meeting on Thursday night was reported by Kadyrov's press service. It was reported that the head of the republic reported to the president on the socio-economic situation in the region and noted that the measures taken under the leadership of Putin allow Chechnya to maintain the pace of development during the pandemic.
The meeting between Kadyrov and Putin was announced after the meeting in the center of Grozny an unsanctioned rally against the family of retired judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya Saidi Yangulbaev took place.
