On January 12, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions against Parsek LLC registered in Moscow, as well as against Russian citizen Roman Anatolyevich Alar due to ties with the DPRK. In addition, six North Korean citizens living in Moscow, Vladivostok and China were included in the sanctions list.
The State Department said in a statement that from 2016 to 2021, North Korean citizen Oh Yeon-ho, who supplied the DPRK with goods for the production of shells from third countries, collaborated with the Parsec company. and Alarem to provide a variety of ballistic missile attachments, including kevlar filament, aramid fiber, aviation oil, ball bearings, and precision milling machines.
According to the U.S. department, Alar is the company's director for development. The State Department claims he also provided instructions to Oh Yeon Ho on how to create a solid rocket propellant.
