A group of famous artists, musicians and cultural figures signed an appeal calling for peace negotiations to stop hostilities in Ukraine. Artist Yevgeny Mironov published it on his Instagram.

“We call on everyone on whom it depends, all parties to the conflict, to stop the armed actions and sit down at the negotiating table. We call for the preservation of the highest value— human life»,— says in the appeal.

The authors of the appeal write that they act “not only as cultural figures, but as ordinary people, citizens of our country, our Motherland.” “In each of us lives the genetic memory of the war. We do not want a new war, we do not want people to die. The past 20th century brought too much grief and suffering to mankind. We want to believe that the 21st century will be the century of hope, openness, dialogue, the century of human-to-human conversation, the century of love, compassion and mercy,— they turned to the participants in the conflict.
